Starting May 18, 2012 we are offering a FREE VIP membership to the first 50 new users who sign up on ChatCore. This offer includes Dedicated Help & Support Forum, priority assistance in our live HelpDesk, a special VIP badge on your profile, and more features to be added in the future.
Also, with your free VIP membership, you have the option to register a chatroom with us for a $5 donation. The advantage of registering a chatroom is that it is a permanent, 'supported' chat room which never closes, even when inactive. Also coming soon for registered chatrooms we will be offering a control panel, where you may customise your new permanent room, such as activating extra protection from our Server 'Bot'
This change will occur automatically as soon as you've donated, where you'll be prompted to enter the name of your channel so it can be made permanent. If you have any issues, we have trained staff waiting to take your query in #HelpDesk.
The free VIP offer won't be available for long so take advantage of the reduced donations!!! After the promotion is over, the amount of the VIP package will increase to $20/yr.

(*) Update: 22:46 GMT (*) - These works have now been completed, and the DNS servers have been updated to reflect. In order to ensure you are connected to the correct, new, server, please flush your DNS cache by opening command prompt (type 'cmd' into 'run' on Windows) and type the following command: 'ipconfig /flushdns'
We will be powering down the old server farm tomorrow morning at 11:00 GMT. Thanks for your patience!
---------------
Good evening all,
Starting at 19:30 GMT (o), I'll be migrating ChatCore's web and database servers to a new farm, located in a data center within the United Kingdom. I will try to keep the impact to a minimum, however there may be a period of both increased latency and connection drop-outs whilst the migration is underway due to the amount of available bandwidth this will inevitably utilise. IRC users should notice no problems.
We anticipate the work to be completed by 21:00 GMT (o), with the switch-over being commenced at that time. For a while, you may notice a 'split' where some users are connected to the new farm, and others to the existing farm - this will remedy itself, however we will have staff on hand in the #HelpDesk to assist with this if needed.
Thanks for your time and patience during these essential works.

Changes have been implemented to the Chat Server to include the following IRCx compliant command:
'/findu [Nickname]'
This will return a list of channels the user is currently participating in. Obviously, this is only releveant for those of you who utilise a third party IRC client to connect to ChatCore.
In other news, in order to prepare our environment for changes in the New Year, we will be applying maintenance patches on the 3rd January 2012 across our servers - this may result in increased latency. We appreciate your patience. I hope your Holiday Season has been enjoyable and safe! (G)
